This is the first annual Sport + Wellness issue of [EDIT] and the theme of this issue is endurance. Over the past year, [EDIT]’s writers and contributing editors have met athletes, artists, surgeons, wellness gurus, teachers, business owners and neighbours who reminded us that endurance is not about pushing harder. It is about living with intention. It is about showing up for ourselves and for one another.

When local newspapers die, the fabric that holds a community together begins to fray. Vicki’s work is a reminder that a local newspaper is not only a source of news; it is a safeguard for the health, identity and future of a community. She is a hero and has an incredible story to share.
