[EDIT] Presents: Hollyland and Labrador: The Newfoundland and Labrador Film and Television Industry

[EDIT] + ACC presents...

[EDIT] magazine's Newfoundland and Labrador correspondent, Tara Bradbury on the film and television community thriving on the Rock right now. The Newfoundland and Labrador film industry is experiencing some particularly exciting times, bringing in about $100 million annually and providing close to 1,000 jobs. The year 2022 saw the local production of several independent short films; television series like Son of a Critch for CBC, CityTV’s Hudson & Rex, SyFy’s Surreal Estate, HGTV reality show Rock Solid Builds and Bell Fibe TV1’s The Missus Downstairs; as well as at least two Hallmark movies for television. Ben Stiller visited the province’s Bonavista Peninsula to scout film locations. A year earlier, Disney had come to film scenes for Peter Pan and Wendy, lured by the coastline backdrop, much the way DC Entertainment had been for 2018’s Aquaman. Edit Media brings you the inside story.
