Meet podcasting gurus Rhys Waters and Jonathan Burns to learn about their new venture Podstarter and why Atlantic Canada is the best place to start a business right now. “For me, Nova Scotia represented a real balance between living somewhere that is kind of rugged, remote and adventurous, and somewhere that has real opportunity,” Rhys Waters says. “It straddles both of those things really well. I couldn't have pointed to Nova Scotia on a map until we said, ‘let's move to Canada’. And we started looking around and we're like, ‘Oh, this place looks cool. Let's live in a lighthouse or something’, based on the imagery that you find related to Nova Scotia. But the reality is there’s a work life balance, that doesn’t necessarily sacrificing opportunity by being in a smaller place. Especially with podcasts and everything we're doing. I like the attitude that people have in Atlantic Canada, they're laid back. The community focus, it’s an incredible place to raise children, but at the same time, it's not sleepy. And there are some really exciting things happening that mean there's so much potential in the future for our businesses and other businesses.”
